Applying of Vascular Graft

Main objective of vascular graft : the repair, replacement,and bypass of sections of native or artificial vessels.

[1] Arteriosclerosis is also known as hardening of the arteries. Arteriosclerosis causes a reduction in vein size and blood flow, thereby diminishing the  arteries which eventually results in myocardial infarction or gangrene. It is related to the coronary occlusion (blockage of one more arteries leading to the heart).

[2] Entry sites in dialysis patients. The vascular grafts connect the artery to the vein in a patient’s body. A needle is inserted into the vascular graft, and then blood is withdrawn and passed through the dialysis machine. Finally, the blood returned back to the patient via the needle.
